NOT JUST PR

Canada work permit, study & visitor visas

PR isn’t the only door in. Plenty of applicants start with a Canada work visa, a study permit, or a short visitor visa — and move to permanent residence later. Ebenezer handles Indian visa services for Canada across all four tracks.

Points-tested visas

Employer-sponsored or open work permits covering the Canada job visa route — from LMIA- backed offers to spousal open permits. A valid Canada work visa can also strengthen a later Express Entry profile.

NOT JUST PR

We audit the file before IRCC does

Most refusals trace back to a document gap or a mismatched detail across forms. Our consultants cross-check your file against the exact requirements of your chosen pathway before it’s submitted — so nothing comes back to bite you six months in.

THE ROUTE

Six pathways to a Canadian PR

Canada runs more immigration routes than any single applicant needs — the work is picking the one your profile actually fits.

Step 1

Express Entry

A points-based federal system managed by IRCC. Your CRS score across age, education, work experience and language decides if you’re invited.

67 pts to qualify • ~6 mo processing

Step 2

Provincial Nominee Program

Apply to the province you want to settle in. A nomination adds 600 CRS points and can fast-track your federal application.

80+ streams across Canada

Step 3

Quebec Skilled Worker

Run through the Arrima portal outside the federal Express Entry pool. A job offer isn’t mandatory, but it moves you up the queue.

Certificat de sélection du Québec

Step 4

Family Sponsorship

Canadian citizens or PRs can sponsor a spouse, dependant child, or parent — reuniting the household under one PR track.

Spouse • child • parent classes

Step 5

Atlantic Immigration

Built for New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI and Newfoundland & Labrador, where employers are actively short on skilled staff.

Employer-driven, faster turnaround

Step 6

Start-Up Visa

For founders with a qualifying business idea backed by a designated Canadian investor, incubator or venture fund.

COMPREHENSIVE RANKING SYSTEM

Six factors decide where you land in the Express Entry pool. A provincial nomination or a strong language score can shift your rank more than almost anything else.

STEP BY STEP

How to apply for a Canada visa

The Canada visa process looks different for PR, work, study and visitor applications, but the shape of it stays roughly the same.

1

Pick the right visa

PR, work permit, study permit or visitor visa — your goal decides the program.

2

Check eligibility

Score your profile against CRS, program or sponsor requirements before filing.

3

Build the document file

Passport, funds proof, ECA, language scores and program-specific paperwork.

4

Submit & complete biometrics

File online via IRCC, pay the applicable Canada visa fees, then attend biometrics.

5

Track & respond

Watch your IRCC account for medical or document requests until a decision lands.

QUESTIONS WE HEAR OFTEN

Canada PR, answered plainly

How do I actually get PR in Canada from India?

Through one of several federal or provincial programs — Express Entry, a PNP, Québec’s skilled worker route, family sponsorship, or a business-linked route like the Start-Up Visa. Each weighs your age, education, work history and language score differently.

Express Entry is competitive because it ranks candidates against each other on CRS score. Provincial nominations and family sponsorship are often more forgiving if your profile fits what a specific province or sponsor needs.

Express Entry applications are typically processed within about six months once you receive an invitation. Provincial and family routes can run longer depending on the program and how complete your file is.

A Canadian citizen or permanent resident can sponsor a spouse, common-law or conjugal partner, dependent child, or a parent or grandparent — provided they meet income and eligibility conditions set by IRCC.

Yes — PR cards are valid for five years. To keep your status you need to have lived in Canada for at least 730 days within that five-year window, after which the card can be renewed.

Express Entry applicants without a valid Canadian job offer must show proof of settlement funds — roughly CAD 13,757 for a single applicant, rising with each additional family member. Requirements differ for other pathways.

Most Temporary Resident Visa (visitor visa) applications from India are processed in roughly three to six weeks, though this shifts with visa office volume and the season you apply in. We recommend filing at least two months ahead of travel dates.

Yes — Canadian work experience on a valid work permit, or a post-graduation work permit after finishing an international student visa, both build toward Express Entry or a Provincial Nominee Program later. Many applicants use work or study as the first step, not the last.

No — Canada requires Indian citizens to hold either a visitor visa or an eTA (if flying in with a valid US visa). Indian passport holders do get visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to a separate set of destinations; ask us for our list of visa-free countries for Indians if you’re weighing options beyond Canada.
